Privacy Policy

Jotword is operated by Subcue AI LLC ("we", "us"). Jotword helps you learn vocabulary from the content you watch and read. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account data — your email address, an optional display name, and your native language. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email (or a private relay address) from that provider; we never see your password for those accounts.

Learning data — the words you save, optional context sentences, and your review history (ratings and timing), which powers the spaced-repetition schedule.

Device data — if you enable review reminders, a push notification token for your device.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide Jotword: generating word definitions, scheduling reviews, syncing across your devices, and sending the reminders you asked for. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Processing and storage

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Words you add are sent to an AI provider to generate definitions, pronunciations, and example sentences; only the word and its languages are shared — never your identity.

Your choices

You can delete individual words at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@jotword.com and we will process the request promptly.
